Looking for a weekend break with a difference? Love food but can't cook?

We have got the weekend for you - Pangur Bán Catering & Cookery School in Letterfrack, Connemara is running Cookery Weekends in a 300 year old thatched cottage nestled between the Atlantic ocean and the dramatic ridges of the Twelve Bens.

These personalised courses are arranged by chef John Walsh to give you the opportunity to improve your culinary skills in the unique, informal atmosphere of this delightful restaurant.

All levels are catered for, from beginner to advanced.


Pangur Ban Cookery Courses

All courses can be tailored to your needs and requirements.

Courses are all inclusive and start at 10am each morning, finishing at 2-3pm and followed by lunch before you leave.

Courses cost €160 per person; a minimum number of 3 people are required to run a weekend course.

Suggested Options for Courses:

1. Bread Making
Yeast breads, soda breads, sweet breads.

2. Italian Cookery
Learn to make fresh pasta, pasta main courses, antipasti and desserts.

3. Indian Curries
The preparation of fresh curries using fresh hand ground spices.

4. Desserts and Sweets
The preparation of a selection of sweet dishes.

5. Hosting at home
Planning, preparing and cooking a feast at home.

6. Make up your own course
Mix and match to get the most out of your weekend.
